Character codes

Computers store every character as a number. In ASCII, A is 65, a is 97, and a space is 32. Unicode extends the same idea to every alphabet and emoji. Puzzles often give a list of these numbers, most often in decimal, sometimes in hex or binary.

CacheCrack guesses the base from the numbers, or you can pick it. Prefixes like 0x, U+ and HTML codes like H are understood. Lists of decimal numbers between 32 and 126 are a strong sign of ASCII, and the cipher identifier checks for them.
