What is a keyword cipher?

A keyword cipher builds a new alphabet by writing a keyword first, dropping any repeated letters, then adding the rest of the alphabet in order. With the keyword KRYPTOS the cipher alphabet is KRYPTOSABCDEFGHIJLMNQUVWXZ, so A becomes K, B becomes R, and so on.
