Reading Ogham

Ogham was used to write early Irish, mostly carved along the edge of standing stones. Each letter is a set of one to five lines or notches on a central line. The letters come in four groups: lines below the stem, lines above it, slanted lines crossing it, and short notches across it.

Ogham has 20 main letters and no letters for J, K, P, V, W, X or Y, so CacheCrack uses the closest ones when writing English. It is usually read from bottom to top on stones and left to right on paper.
