Roman numerals

Roman numerals use I (1), V (5), X (10), L (50), C (100), D (500) and M (1000). A smaller numeral before a larger one is subtracted, so IV is 4 and CM is 900. Type numerals to get a number, or a number to get numerals. You can convert several at once.

If a numeral is written in an unusual way, like IIII for 4, CacheCrack still reads it and tells you the usual form. Watch for dates on buildings and monuments, which are a favorite source for puzzle cache numbers.
