Beyond ROT13
ROT13 only changes letters. ROT5 does the same for digits, turning 0 into 5 and 7 into 2, which is handy for hiding coordinates. ROT18 combines them. ROT47 goes further and rotates every printable character, including punctuation, so text turns into a jumble of letters and symbols.
All three undo themselves: running the same step again brings back the original. If a puzzle looks like a random mix of letters and symbols such as w6==@, try ROT47 first.
