How semaphore works

In flag semaphore, a signaller holds a flag in each hand and shows each letter by pointing the arms in one of eight directions. A is one arm straight down and the other low to the side, and the letters move around the circle from there. The symbols here are shown as you would see the signaller, facing you.

Semaphore puzzles often use stick figures, clock hands, or pairs of lines from a point. Match the angles to the keys, where the flags mark the ends of the arms.
